Module Contents

Each module includes:

  1. Character Profiles — Who each character is at the moment, with textual evidence for what they want and fear
  2. Threshold Moments — Critical turning points, chosen because the character could genuinely have gone either way
  3. Lens Prompts — What each of the three lenses asks at that particular moment
  4. Implementation Guidelines — Setup, timing, and facilitation notes

Creating Your Own Modules

Use the Historical Template as a starting point for new texts or historical contexts.

Key Elements

  1. Select 3-5 characters, each with textual evidence for what they want and fear
  2. Identify 2-3 threshold moments — critical turning points with meaningful choices
  3. Write the lens prompts — what Confrontation, Comprehension, and Connection each ask at that moment
  4. Note what the text actually does, so the harvest has something to argue against
